A huge well done to Oscar for some absolutely amazing home learning on different planets. He had done some excellent writing and illustrations. Also well done to Ashley and Riley for super letters and sounds learning. You showed really good attitudes to your learning.
Today this fine young chap won GOLD thanks to his wonderful work on his great great great Grandad. I large amount of effort went into this - so well done!! You can check it out yourself below. It's been great to come back to school this week to see that the wall has gone and the builders are busy at work.
It's also lovely to see that the children have (safely!) been watching what has been going on with great interest. Reception children have even been writing letters to the builders asking them questions. Good work! 2 days to catch up with.
Scarlett - for her amazing reading. Rudi for his careful watercolour painting. Emmi for her excellent writing about her trip to Bourneville. [Head still waiting chocolate treat.] Ryan, Geno, Ashley, Nate, James, Hannah, Henry, Maybel, Imogen, Leah and Kaitlyn for their thinking skills in maths (and multiplication). Harvey for his super running and winning the gala week Fancy Dress!!! Hannah for her meteor work. Elliot for his shape work. And Callum for his home-made guitar. All have worked really hard - well done!! Well done to his noble chap for winning GOLD!
He had put so much effort into this piece of work I had to give him the highest honour I could! However, it is not even close to the honours that his family have won!! Check this out: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2121419/Britains-bravest-family-awarded-record-breaking-Victoria-Cross-Medals-just-generations.html He wrote, researched, visited sites of interest and presented in a lovely fashion all about his great, great, grandfather Gough, who won the Victoria Cross. Good work! Well done to this young lady, who wrote a 3 page story with capitals at the scary parts and other punctuation.
Year 5 get awarded - the whole class - for amazing home learning, which Mrs Cooper collated into a book to send to the observatory as a thank you. Well done to this young lad for super listening, being a great friend and being a good role model. Marvellous work!
Well done to Thomas for good listening and following instructions.
The girls football team for winning 8-0 against St Jo's! And Matthew for his swimming. Good work!! This week we entered a Tennis tournament in Exmouth.
Here is what our roving reporter said: I was so proud of the St Peter's tennis team on Wednesday. They conducted themselves brilliantly, they were enthusiastic and obviously enjoyed themselves. The boys did particularly well, Nate playing as a year 4 boy, and Ollie was unbeaten. They should all be very proud of themselves coming second in the east Devon category. Now they are off to Plymouth to represent the school in the Devon finals! Amazing! I have to say it was pretty hard work for the support team......it was quite stressful! Now I know how Judy Murray feels! Needless to say, I was very proud of all 4 of them. |
To celebrate all that is wonderful at our school.
