It all started off when we were on the mini bus singing songs. And we picked the positions with Fin up front being captain, Ashley, Morgan and Geno in mid with Leo, Nate and Joel in defence and Ned in goal also on the bench Miles and Ben. When we got there we saw the size of their team and started training. A few minutes later the referee called the captain into the centre. Unfortunately they got to start. When we started it started with a superb tackle from Ashley being able to pass it up to Finlay who takes a shot on goal but the keeper just gets a finger to it. At halftime we had had had some brilliant defence from Leo, Nate and Joel and fantastic saves from Ned in goal.In the secnd half we played much better and nearly had a goal but one of there deffenders just got there in time to slide tackel Fin.Also nicer play in mid with nicer passing from Geno,Morgan and Ashley creating chances on goal. The match ended up 0-0 so we decide to have another one.In the second match the team seemed much better and it was much harder. To the end of the first half they quickly curled it into the top left hand corner of the goal. In the middle of the second half the goalkeeper kicked the ball and it hit a girl in the tummy and deflected off into the goal. The full time whistle went and we were very unlucky but we did very well anyway! By Fin Cotton and Ned Mills Matthew produced an amazing book which showed the different animals that live in the rainforest. A well deserved Headteacher's Award.
Congratulations to Lily, Alice P, Alice G-D and Isla in Year 6 for managing to work out the solution to Mr Lee's cube challenge in the fastest time- a very impressive effort!
